REACH Program

REACH stands for Resource Education Assistance and Crisis Help. RCC staff members work to connect students to the resources below to assist in areas such as food insecurity, housing instability, transportation or other basic needs. The REACH Office is located in Student Services. Schedule an appointment with a staff member below to discuss which resources may be the best fit for you.

Food Security Programming

All students attending RCC can access food security programming. Make an appointment with Jill West to receive an introduction to the program and a meal bag as well as hygiene items.

Randolph Community College believes in helping students improve their circumstances through support for basic needs, referrals to local agencies, and education regarding financial literacy. The following options are available for financial literacy engagement:

Grab-and-Go lunches are available for pick up in the Campus Store for students who may be facing food insecurities within the daily school hours or who simply forgot their lunch. Snack items are available in the REACH Office located in Student Services.

Wrap-Around Services

Have an interview coming up? Visit the Armadillo Career Closet located in the Office of Student Success for interview attire, free for currently enrolled students.

Staff members from NCWorks of Randolph County are on campus two days per week to meet with students in the Student Resource Center. NCWorks offers comprehensive career services, WIOA applications, and the Next Gen program.

The Student Resources Guide is a compilation of resources to help not only RCC students, but anyone who needs it. It has a table of contents for easy searching and covers a variety of topics from credit assistance to housing needs. It is updated at least once a year.

The Transportation Voucher Program is offered in partnership with RCATS (Regional Coordinated Area Transportation System) and provides RCC students with financial assistance for transportation services to and from campus. Students must first register with RCATS by calling 336-629-7433 before receiving a voucher card. Contact the Student Resource Center or make an appointment at the links above for more details.

The success of student-parents is important to us so RCC partners with the North Carolina General Assembly to assist student-parents with their child care needs promoting the completion of an educational program (The North Carolina College Child Care Grant Program).
