Scholarships
The RCC Foundation offers numerous scholarships to RCC students. To be eligible for consideration for RCC Foundation Scholarships students must have applied for admission to RCC, or be currently enrolled, and completed the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
Curriculum scholarships are awarded based on merit and need through an automatic award process associated with students' application and FAFSA data. The Office of Financial Aid and Veteran’s Affairs posts these awards to student accounts and notifies the student.
Continuing Education (short-term training) scholarships are offered through the program areas and their coordinators. For more information contact Shaneka Jones at smjones@randoph.edu.

The Changing Lives Scholarship fund assists RCC students who have legitimate financial need who are not receiving an adequate amount of financial aid or who are ineligible to receive Federal or State aid due to a variety of circumstances, including but not limited to the following:
- Students who are enrolled less than half-time and therefore unable to obtain any financial aid
- Students who receive little or no assistance based on their Expected Family Contribution
- Students with a bachelor’s degree who are not eligible for Federal and State grants
- Students must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), including the verification process if selected
- Students should have an EFC between $0 and $15,000
- Previously enrolled students must have a 2.0 cumulative GPA and a 67% completion rate.
- All other financial aid received by the student will be deducted from the projected award amount
- Students are not allowed to receive a net disbursement check as a result of this award.
- Students must be prepared to provide documentation to support their request for support
How Are Award Amounts Determined
Award amounts are contingent upon fund availability and are based on the current in-state tuition and fees set by the North Carolina General Assembly. The award amount may also be based on the number of credit hours that the student is enrolled in for the semester that assistance is requested, less other financial aid that is available to the student. Amounts generally do not exceed $500, but may be less to ensure effective management of funds. Furthermore, awards can only be applied to charges accrued at RCC (tuition, fees, books, and supplies).
To apply for the program, please contact your financial aid counselor.

These organizations have broad expertise in helping students to successfully prepare for college and to find the best financial aid alternatives. Together, they provide a complete and comprehensive source of information - and real solutions - for students and their families.
Founded in 1998, Scholarships.com has helped students find money for college and learn about the entire financial aid process.
They are among the most widely-used and trusted free college scholarship search and financial aid information resources on the Internet and have been recognized by high schools, colleges and universities nationwide, among others.
They have worked to build relationships with colleges and universities across the country and want to provide students with the opportunity to not only find free money for college and interact with prospective colleges but to be recruited as well.

Designed to ease the scholarship search process, Scholly Search’s adaptive matching engine and curated database promise to deliver smarter, targeted lists of scholarships.
