You'll be prepared to pursue jobs in equipment, feed, and agricultural supply sales; store management; farm operations; wholesale and retail produce management; nursery operations; and environmental and agricultural education. The special Zoological Horticulture Certificate program partners with the North Carolina Zoo in Asheboro to give you hands-on experience designing and caring for the plant environments at zoos and withing animal habitats.

Many of the courses in this program are equivalent to college transfer courses; however, the program is not principally designed for college transfer. It is a good way to earn credits while awaiting admission into Associate Degree Nursing, Radiography, Medical Assisting or Associate in General Education for Funeral Service Education programs.

This program will teach brake systems, electrical systems, engine performance, engine repair, suspension and steering, automatic and manual transmissions and drive trains, heating and air condition systems, and much more. You can also specialize your studies and focus on Automotive Light-Duty Diesel Technology, so you can diagnose, adjust, repair, or overhaul light-duty diesel vehicles under one-ton classification.

View ProgramDiscover networking concepts or earn advanced certifications to get ahead in your career at the Cisco Networking Academy. RCC has been offering this program for 18 years, and it's provided the gold standard and backbone of our IT Academy.
You will perform initial configurations on networking devices, such as routers and switches, and configure personal computers and servers for accessing resources on the network. Intermediate and advanced courses involve configuring routers and switches for better efficiency and security as well as preparing these devices for several different types of data traffic traversing across the network. Free, self-paced courses are also available.

View ProgramIf you're interested in getting a bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university, you can get a headstart at RCC with the Associate in Arts (AA), Associate in Science (AS), Associate in Arts (AA) in Teacher Preparation, and Associate in Science (AS) in Teacher Preparation degree programs. Avoid the higher tuition rates and giant lectures taught by graduate students you'll find at a four-year school. At RCC, you'll pay less to attend small, personalized classes taught by highly credentialed professors.
Though your credits can transfer to any eligible institution, RCC collaborates with many North Carolina four-year colleges and universities through our University Partnerships program to offer a clear path to a four-year degree.

View ProgramAre you interested in using state-of-art technology to help provide medical care? Consider RCC's Computed Tomography (CT) and Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) Technology certificate programs. Our courses prepare you to use specialized equipment to visualize cross-sectional anatomical structures and aid physicians in demonstrating pathologies and disease processes. This skill set will prepare you for an in-demand career performing CT and MRI scans at medical facilities.
To be eligible to apply to the CT program, you must be a registered or registry-eligible radiologic technologist, radiation therapist, or nuclear medicine technologist. When you graduate, you will be eligible and ready to sit for the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists certification examination in Computed Tomography.
You must be a registed radiologic technologist, nuclear medicine technologist, or ultrasound technologist to complete the MRI program. When you graduate, you will be eligible and ready to sit for the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists certification examination in Magnetic Resonance Imaging.

When you graduate from this program, you'll be ready to sit for machining certification examinations and also qualify to work in specialty machine shops, fabrication industries, and high-tech or emerging industries such as aerospace, aviation, medical and renewable energy.
View ProgramGet hands-on beauty experience in a salon environment operated by RCC and open to the public. Your course work will include instruction in all phases of professional imaging, hair design, chemical processes, skin care, nail care, multi-cultural practices, business/computer principles, product knowledge, and other selected topics.
You can obtain an associate degree, diploma, or certificate in cosmetology from RCC. When you complete the program, you should qualify to sit for the State Board of Cosmetic Arts examination. You'll leave RCC ready to work as a cosmetologist at a major salon or even start your own cosmetology business.

View ProgramTake x-rays to help to improve your patients' health and well-being. The Radiography curriculum prepares you to be a radiologic technologist, a skilled health care professional who uses radiation to produce images of the human body.
Upon graduation, you will be eligible to apply to take the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists' national examination for certification and registration as a medical radiographer. You may then work in hospitals, clinics, physicians' offices, medical laboratories, government agencies, and industry.

In these associate degree programs, you will be able to take the first two years of college classes locally (and more affordably!), before transferring to a four-year college or university to complete a bachelor's degree in education.
We have two Teacher Preparation pathways to choose from. Depending on your interest and with input from your advisor, we’ll help you choose the pathway that best fits your goals. Our pathways are:
- Our Associate in Arts in Teacher Preparation degree is geared towards preparing you to teach in the areas of English, social studies, art, history, foreign Languages, and related subjects.
- Our Associate in Science in Teacher Preparation degree is geared towards preparing you to teach in the areas of science, math, technology, engineering, and related subjects.
Learn to be a master welder in our impressive, on-campus facility. The Welding Technology program includes instruction on consumable and non-consumable electrode welding and cutting processes. You will be provided with industry-standard skills developed through classroom training and practical application. Courses include print reading, metallurgy, welding inspection, and destructive and non-destructive testing.
Upon graduation, you may be employed as a technician in the welding and metalworking industries. Career opportunities exist in construction, manufacturing, fabrication, sales, quality control, supervision, and welding-related self-employment.
